Here is the statement by Nottinghamshire Police, I am still very angry that this was allowed to happen.
I have written today to the Nottinghamshire Police Chief Constable, Julia Hodson expressing my anger, concerns about lack of training and that they officer concerned should be prosecuted.
The address is Julia Hodson, Chief Constable, Nottinghamshire Police, Sherwood Lodge, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 8PP and urge you all to do the same.
There's no excuse for this. Anybody knows you don't leave animals in cars, especially on boiling hot days like it has been recently.
ReplyDeleteIn American if you kill a police dog, you get chared with murder and face the same punishment as if they were a human.
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys have something simlar! So sad! I own a police dog that go injured and couldn't serve anymore, they are amazing.
Disguting. The officer shoould be suspended. A shame against all dog owners, and he/she an officer of the law, what chance is there! I hope the RSPCA take this to the maximum of the law, if not then they are as cupable. A DISGARCE TO ALL POLICE DOG HANDLERS
ReplyDeletehorrendous!!!!i don't even take my German Shepherd in the car in warm weather without having all the windows part down to let the breeze blow through let alone leave him locked in it!!!!what the hell was this officer thinking of?
ReplyDeletehe should be banned from ever keeping them again...experienced loving handler?...i don't think so!!!
